In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), it is believed that a vital life energy called "Qi" circulates within the body along specific pathways or meridians. This energy influences all bodily functions, and a disrupted flow of energy can lead to illnesses. By inserting fine needles into specific acupuncture points along the meridians, an attempt is made to regulate the disrupted energy flow and restore balance in the body.

The stimulation of acupuncture points can be carried out in various ways, such as by rotating or heating the needles. This is intended to help release energy blockages, enhance energy flow, and activate the body's self-healing mechanisms.

Du Qi Wan (肚脐丸---- Moxa Mixture Belly Button Therapy)

The Du Qi Wan (肚脐丸, Moxa Mixture Belly Button Therapy) is based on a recipe by Master HuaiJin Nan. In his books, he humorously presents traditional Chinese culture as well as Confucianism, Daoism and Buddhism, providing numerous practical examples.

The "Du Qi Wan" is an ancient healing method originating from Daoism. It utilizes a moxa mixture applied through the belly button to dispel dampness and cold from the body and alleviate pain. This treatment stimulates the flow of Qi (life energy) and blood, activating the functions of related organs through the belly button. As a result, immune defense is strengthened, and imbalances in the nervous system are harmonized.

The "Du Qi Wan" is composed of mugwort (moxa), longan plum, and Sichuan pepper. Mugwort is a well-known medicinal plant in both traditional Chinese and European medicine. Longan plum benefits the heart and spleen, while Sichuan pepper expels bacteria, dampness, and cold from the body and alleviates pain.
